The Rustic Elegance of Sydney & Ben’s Fall Wooded Wedding at Gilbertsville Farmhouse

Sydney and Ben’s spectacular fall wedding was a breathtaking celebration of nature, love, and rustic luxury tucked away in the scenic landscapes of Upstate New York. Held at the iconic Gilbertsville Farmhouse, the entire day perfectly blended a relaxed, organic atmosphere with deeply meaningful traditions. As a premier NY wedding videographer, our team at Fairytale Studio was absolutely thrilled to capture the unique, cinematic magic of this vibrant farm estate celebration, documenting every emotional chapter of their beautiful love story.

The heart of the day unfolded with an awe-inspiring, romantic outdoor ceremony set deep within the woods. Surrounded by a majestic forest canopy, towering trees, and a peaceful silence that only nature can provide, Sydney and Ben exchanged their vows under a beautiful chuppah for their traditional Jewish wedding. The crisp autumn air and the warm, golden fall sunlight filtering through the leaves created an editorial, fairy-tale backdrop for our cameras. Adding an incredibly sweet and personal touch to the day, their beloved dogs were included in the wedding party, proudly joining them in the forest as they took their first steps together as husband and wife.

Following the emotional ceremony, the celebration transitioned to the venue’s magnificent rustic barn for a high-energy reception. The massive timber structure combined old-world farm charm with sophisticated luxury, creating a vibrant space where family and friends gathered to celebrate. From the heartwarming toasts to the traditional, joyous dance floor moments, the room was charged with an electric energy. Guests also had the unique opportunity to interact with the farmhouse’s resident farm animals, adding an unforgettable layer of rustic fun to the entire experience.

A Whimsical Shabby-Chic Romance: Ashley & Tim’s Autumn Escape at Owl’s Hoot Barn

When urban sophistication meets the heart of the Hudson Valley, the resulting contrast is nothing short of mesmerizing. Ashley and Tim’s wedding at Owl’s Hoot Barn in Coxsackie, New York, redefined rustic luxury. Far from a traditional countryside affair, this celebration masterfully blended an editorial eye with a relaxed, bohemian spirit.

As an Upstate NY wedding videographer, our team at Fairytale Studio was deeply inspired by the raw, natural beauty of this 1800s homestead. Documenting the day allowed us to focus on the authentic, high-vibe energy that filled every corner of the property, creating a luxury wedding film that the couple will look back on for generations.

A Picture-Perfect Shabby-Chic Landscape

Owl’s Hoot Barn features weathered wood tones, an iconic vintage teal VW bus, and vast, tree-lined grounds sliced by a winding creek. There is so much detail to shoot we didn’t know what to record first.

During the reception, the historic timber barn was transformed into an ambient, upscale haven. The venue tables perfectly balanced the shabby-chic setting, decorated with elegant arrangements that contrasted beautifully against the rustic wood. Above, the warm overhead lighting cast a golden, romantic glow across the entire space, highlighting the timber rafters.

The true showstopper of the evening was the couple’s first dance. As Ashley and Tim stepped onto the wooden dance floor, a thick layer of atmospheric haze swept across the room. It created a magical “dancing on a cloud” effect, perfectly catching the light and enveloping the couple in a dreamlike mist that made their first dance one of the most visually stunning, cinematic highlights of the entire film.

Ashley and Tim utilized a nostalgic audio guestbook where guests left voicemail messages directly on a vintage telephone. Our cinematic approach focused heavily on collecting these deeply personal soundscapes – Heartfelt congratulations, Emotional blessings and Uproarious laughter and cheers from family members and friends. From their beloved dog joining the cocktail hour festivities to the couple sharing quiet moments by the barn doors, the day flowed seamlessly between high-end style and rustic comfort, culminating in an absolute powerhouse of a reception dance floor.
