I have started the season with a February wedding. It was at the Battery Gardens, the tip of Manhattan Island in Battery Park, right in front Lady Liberty. Fantastic location, with amazing views with plenty of photo opportunities.
Julia was getting ready in the Wagner hotel (formally the Ritz). Again the spectacular views. Plus the famous NYC light, coming though the windows. You don’t get this anywhere else. Must be the tall building reflecting light and creating unique shadows.
We were lucky it was as perfect day for February as you can hope for, 40 and sunny. We went to the Wall street, got very cool subway shots and I love the silhouette images with the Statue.

This might be the most perfect wedding we have ever done. The whole day was really set up for us, to create the best shots we can. Everything revolved around getting the best shot, even if we had to take few extra takes. I mean, we even repeated the isle shot, after the ceremony. We wanted a smooth clean front shot of Rebecca, without a photographers in the background (obviously this isn’t possible in most of the weddings we do, hence the excitement). I absolutely loved it and wish to have every wedding like this. It was a dream!

Hamptons wedding of Marissa and Ricky. Although it’s a quite a drive, I love coming here. Well everyone does, it’s Hamptons. It was a very emotional wedding, lot of laughs and cries. Marissa’s dad, omg. You couldn’t ask for a better speech. It’s thanks to him, this film turned out the way it did. Watch it till the end!

Lord Thompson Manor is one of my most favorite places. Feels very royal and elegant, yet so charming and romantic. They have little unique and unusual order of events. The speeches happen right after ceremony concludes, on the Manor’s balcony facing the ceremony site. I kind of like it, as it is done right away. It also provided me with some really beautiful angles from inside the house, looking out. But the best thing that happened was the song Jim recorded for Emily, instead of a note. She was so surprised and emotional watching it – love it!

Beautiful wedding from Valley Rock Inn in Sloatsburg, NY. A brand new venue that is designed so nicely. It has all these different backdrops of flowers, bushes and rustic structures. And I think they might have many more new structures on property in a near future.

Jackie and Michael had written love letters to each other, and it became an integral part of this video. It made it so much better and more unique. I’m thinking of asking my couples to do this every time.

I really love the elements of this wedding, that made it so unique. Starting with the softball theme, as Laura and Geoff met playing softball. The theme was woven throughout the whole day. From ceremony, speeches, cake to ring shot I did with the ball.
I also wanted to try a new shot, I call it Chiaroscuro, as it is a play of light and shadows. Just like Carravagio’s paintings (my favorite). It turned out so much better than I thought it would!

Viktoria & Gabriel

Wedding from the beaut of Prospect, Aria. We have been here so many times but always on the right/bigger side. This was our first time in the smaller hall. I think it fits people better, as the bigger side needs a big crowd to fill the room.
Recently we keep seeing many doggies at weddings and we love it. Hope this trend continues. And of course we got theirs into the film.
The party was such fun! Lasers and smoke machine and glow sticks. I have to give the DJ shout-out – That’s Entertainment NY. They get the party going, check them out!

First wedding of 2018; Manhattan, Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Chelsea Piers and no rain. What else can you ask for? We are committing to a new style that we’ve started at the end of the last year. I call it “Cinematography with an edge”. It’s reflected in the footage as well as in the new editing style. hope you enjoy it.

Rachel & Derick

This was our last wedding of the year. It had been raining all day so Rachel, Derick and also I, were little upset the ceremony wasn’t outside with the amazing colors of Connecticut foliage. The Barns in fall is spectacular place. However we did the best we could with the rain and I think it turned out just fantastic. I decided to show off the rain rather than trying to avoid it. And I think the night shots are one of our best ever!

Stephanie & Marc

A Texan marrying a New England girl. Sounds like a movie, and surely this could have been one. I know Stephanie’s whole family so well. I did a video for her brother and did her cousin’s wedding about 7 years ago. Marc is a helicopter pilot policeman (how often you get to say that?) and a real gentleman. As Steph’s dad put it, she “married a good ol’ boy”

The location was Saltwater Farm Vineyard, Stonington CT. We really love this place. We did another wedding here, a month prior.
