This time we went to Boston. A beautiful Chinese/Vietnamese wedding at the Tower Hill Botanic Garden ‘THBC’. But before the garden we had these traditional Chinese and Vietnamese customs: groom games in front of the bride house and of course the tea ceremonies. Jenny and Jimmy had the first look at the Old Stone Church in West Boylston. Jimmy got really emotional when he saw Jenny for the first time in a white dress, and we just love that. He was really so happy the entire day. Just watch what he does, when they are proclaimed husband and wife (hint: Tiger W.)

Tiana & Howard

Our last wedding of the year, from Brooklyn and Manhattan. Tiana and Howard started at the Roger Hotel in Manhattan. They had the penthouse on the top with a balcony and view of Empire State Building. it was so cool! We went to take the pictures at the East River State Park in Brooklyn. That’s where we got those great Manhattan skyline shots. Unfortunately it was the windiest wedding we have ever done. Combined with the 40 degree temps, we couldn’t have spent much time there. I keep shivering in a Northface jacket, while Tiana was giving me hard time as she was in a sleeveless wedding dress. (She was right though, I had to man up).
The wedding was so original at the Brooklyn Winery. Just look at those shots we had set up in the cellar with the barrels of wine. I love it so much.

Side note: As we were leaving from Manhattan to Brooklyn, the Uber driver didn’t like the road we wanted to take so he kick us out from his car. Even though we were pleading with him that it’s a wedding day, he didn’t care and we had to get a new Uber. It’s funny now, but Howard (groom) was quite pissed. He kicked the rear bumper of the car as he was taking off.

First time we did a wedding here at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Long Island. Beautiful gardens and many different possibilities for creative shots. Just look at the backdrop for the ceremony. I love how the flowers pop against the greenery in the back. but enough about the background. Listen to the vows, so powerful and emotional. And BTW, the only words spoken in English. The rest was in Chinese. I love Evelyn’s vows, but even more than that, I love the non-scripted words of Solomon. Hence the title “I KNOW”. I can’t believe how the music paired so well with it too. And let me not forget to mention the great photographer Brian Hatton we worked also with in the past. We love working with you Brian.

Bina & Derek

Bina and Derek’s wedding was a beautiful mixture of both Chinese and Korean cultures, that included a tea ceremony and a lion dance at the reception. The dance was absolutely mesmerizing. It felt so life-like, just like two animated playful giant puppies. They had their eyes blinking and ears moving. I also love their vows, they prepared for each other. Nothing impersonal or phony, but short, genuine and straight out of heart. Bina even had a little book that said vows on the cover.
