I have started the season with a February wedding. It was at the Battery Gardens, the tip of Manhattan Island in Battery Park, right in front Lady Liberty. Fantastic location, with amazing views with plenty of photo opportunities.
Julia was getting ready in the Wagner hotel (formally the Ritz). Again the spectacular views. Plus the famous NYC light, coming though the windows. You don’t get this anywhere else. Must be the tall building reflecting light and creating unique shadows.
We were lucky it was as perfect day for February as you can hope for, 40 and sunny. We went to the Wall street, got very cool subway shots and I love the silhouette images with the Statue.

]]> From downtown New York City, wedding of Kim and Mark at the Ritz. It’s the end of the Manhattan island, Battery park, where you can see Statute of Liberty form a window. The light in the hotel rooms is just absolutely perfect. Those shots of Kim getting her hair done are just stunning.
The reception was so elegant, very New York, as was their choreographed first dance (Kim is a dancer). I like how we got them dancing in front of the Freedom tower and then blend the shot later to the first dance. It worked out perfectly.
