Ceremony and reception were at The Carltun, NY. We talked to Annie and Steve 3 weeks before the wedding, about the possibility that the sunset ceremony might turn into a night ceremony. Although it did happen, we were prepared and lit up the ceremony site with our lights, and I think we achieved quite a nice result. It was our first night ceremony and we loved it. The blurry lights in the back gave it quite a beautiful atmosphere. We also loved the room Annie was getting ready in. It looked so Fairytale to us. And the dad’s speech is so personal and tear-jerking. You can see in the film how much Annie liked it. We decided to combine it with a shot of the wall of family pictures, Annie and Steve had at the entrance to the reception. We think it ties the visual and the spoken word together to enhance the emotions of the moment.
