Ese and Nigel’s spectacular December wedding at the legendary Oheka Castle was a true masterpiece of romance, culture, and fairytale grandeur. While the forecast threatened rain, the day instead cleared into a heavy, dramatic fog that wrapped around the historic estate. There is something entirely magical about a historic castle in the fog—it created a breathtaking, moody backdrop that felt as if it were plucked straight from a classic storybook. As premier NY wedding cinematographers, our team at Fairytale Studio was absolutely thrilled to document every luxury detail and emotional milestone for this incredible couple.

The day felt like a true international destination wedding, with most of the guests traveling from abroad to celebrate the couple’s beautiful union. Ese, who is Nigerian, and Nigel, who is from Guyana, put together a celebration that beautifully honored their rich cultural heritages. We have captured the vibrant energy of the day as the couple transitioned through several stunning wardrobe changes, each outfit honoring their respective backgrounds and bringing an incredible explosion of color, tradition, and personal style to the film.

Oheka Castle provided a magnificent architectural canvas for their winter celebration. The grandeur of the estate’s sprawling rooms and historic stone facades complemented the high-octane energy of the evening. Inside the grand ballroom, the celebration truly came alive, backed by the spectacular musical styling of the Hank Lane band, beautiful floral installations by Pedestal, and a show-stopping cake design by Daniel Andreotti. Alongside the fantastic photography of Cynthia Delconte, our crew focused heavily on the unscripted, raw joy of the night—capturing the packed dance floor, the laughter during the traditional presentations, and the deep love shared by their families. It was an unforgettable winter milestone that we thoroughly enjoyed filming from start to finish.
